Home is a free documentary, directed by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, released on June 5, 2009 simultaneously in cinemas worldwide, on DVD, and on YouTube. The narrator’s voice is by Salma Hayek. The fact that it was released simultaneously in 50 countries set a new record, as no film had ever achieved such a feat.
The documentary is entirely composed of aerial views of various places around the world. It shows the diversity of life on Earth and how human activities have become a threat to the planet’s ecological balance.
