  • 2 min

Raindrop.io is an online bookmark management tool that allows us to save and organize links to websites, images, videos, and notes.

If you have the habit of browsing the internet looking for documentation or tutorials, you will likely end up with a large number of links and bibliography you want to store.

There are many options available for managing our links. From storing tabs like crazy in the browser, to using one of the many available solutions to do it in a more organized way.

I normally used Pocket to manage files. But since I discovered Raindrop.io, I have replaced all tools with this application.

Raindrop.io allows us to organize all our links into collections, which are like folders containing related bookmarks.

It is also possible to tag bookmarks to facilitate searching and organization. In addition to the normal search function, to find anything among our links.

One of the most notable features is the ability to highlight a part of the web page, as if using a highlighter. Later, we can review the parts we highlighted, saving us a lot of work.

Furthermore, it has a browser extension that can be installed on Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and Safari. Once installed, we can add a new link simply by clicking in the browser.

Raindrop.io is available both as a web app and as an installable application on Windows, Linux, macOS, Android, and iPhone.

The app automatically synchronizes bookmarks and collections in real time, so we will have changes synced across all our devices immediately.

It is available in several pricing plans, which include a free plan for personal use with unlimited bookmarks and collections. Paid plans add additional functionalities, such as enhanced search, or nested collections.
